"Pastured" is simply free range of the pasture. Our pigs were raised on fresh pastures, though it didn't look like it once they got done plowing it up with their snouts! They were fed with a constant supply of kitchen scraps, left over corn from the local farmer's field, and supplemented with a hog feed that contains no hormones, antibiotics, steroids, or medications. Thanks to our pigs we have an abundant supply of the richest soil and compost.
     Our pigs are not of a hybrid breed, but originated from Heritage strains. Their meat has actual flavor, and is not mushy and bland, like typical commercial pork. Exercise and non-stressful enviroments produce pork that is lean, tender, juicy. Treat you and your family to this simple, yet gourmet food.
